Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares is a cinematic puzzle-platform horror about a small girl in a yellow raincoat named Six, trapped aboard a nightmarish vessel called the Maw. Everything around her in Little Nightmares is monstrous and enormous, from long-armed janitors to gluttonous guests who would gladly make a meal of her. Because Six can rarely fight back, Little Nightmares turns staying small, quiet, and hidden into the only path forward.

Aboard the Maw

The Maw is a nightmarish ship full of monstrous keepers, from a long-armed Janitor to gluttonous guests who would happily make a meal of Six. The horror comes from scale and helplessness rather than jump scares, and every environment feels designed to swallow her whole.

Playing as Six

The game is a cinematic puzzle-platformer. Players guide Six through side-scrolling spaces, solving physics puzzles, climbing, and sneaking past enemies who will grab her the instant she is seen. She can rarely fight back, so patience beats speed.

What Sets It Apart

The title earned acclaim for its haunting art direction and wordless storytelling. It trades cheap shocks for a deep, lingering unease, making it a masterclass in atmospheric horror and a perfect pick for players who want dread over gore.
