Five Nights at Freddy's 2 takes away the doors that made the original survivable and replaces them with a flashlight, an empty Freddy mask, and a fragile music box. Across the game, players juggle the cameras, the mask, and the light while a far larger cast of animatronics pours through the halls. The relentless multitasking of the title makes it one of the most panic-inducing entries in the series.
About Five Nights at Freddy's 2
What Changed
Without doors, defense is now about the mask and the light. Slip the Freddy head on to fool an animatronic in the office, flash the corridor to repel foes lurking there, and keep winding the distant music box so the Puppet stays asleep. There is no room to relax.
How to Survive
Success comes down to constant multitasking, as players flip between cameras to track the swelling cast, wind the music box every time they check it, and mask up the instant something appears in the office. Hesitate on any one task and the night ends.
Controls
- Mouse: raise the monitor, flashlight, and Freddy mask
- Left-click: flip cameras and wind the music box
- Spacebar or click: toggle the flashlight
The Expanded Cast
- The Puppet: escapes the moment the music box stops
- Mangle: drops into the office from the ceiling vent
- Withered Foxy: charges the hall when the flashlight fails
- Toy animatronics: pour in faster than players can react
